SINGAPORE, 6 OCTOBER 2026: ART SG, presented by Founding and Lead Partner UBS, returns to Marina Bay Sands, Singapore, for its fifth edition from 22 to 24 January 2027, with a VIP Preview and Vernissage on 21 January. Coinciding with Singapore Art Week’s 15th edition, the fair will once again co-present S.E.A. Focus—the homegrown platform championing Southeast Asian contemporary art now in its ninth edition—alongside expanded programming developed with strategic cultural partners and the return of key initiatives across the city. Together, these initiatives reinforce ART SG’s role as a leading platform connecting Southeast Asia’s dynamic contemporary art scene with the wider international art world. Bringing emerging and established artists, galleries, collectors and cultural leaders into dialogue, ART SG creates opportunities for discovery, exchange, collecting and collaboration both within the fair and across Singapore.
Magnus Renfrew, Co-founder, ART SG, said “Over the past four years, ART SG has become an important meeting point for galleries, artists, collectors and institutions across Southeast Asia and the Indo-Pacific, drawing an international audience to Singapore. A fixture of Singapore Art Week, ART SG enters its fifth edition, building on the success of S.E.A. Focus at the fair last year, alongside new and strengthened partnerships. We look forward to welcoming the global art community back to Singapore this January, and to celebrating another chapter in the city’s vibrant contemporary art landscape.”
Jin Yee Young, Co-Head UBS Global Wealth Management Asia Pacific and Country Head UBS Singapore said, ”UBS is proud to present the fifth edition of ART SG as Founding and Lead Partner, and support the return of the ART SG FUTURES Prize Presented by UBS, for its second iteration. Following a successful inaugural edition of the FUTURES Prize in 2026, UBS is delighted to continue our sponsorship of this prize which provides a platform for emerging artists, champions creative excellence and spotlights the craft of contemporary artists across the region. Beyond the prize, UBS is also pleased to enrich the wider art ecosystem through our “Art for All” community initiatives at our UBS Art Studio where we invite the public to experience art in a meaningful way, increasing public engagement and awareness about the transformative power of art.”
Commissioned by the National Arts Council, S.E.A. Focus returns to Marina Bay Sands alongside ART SG for the second year, offering visitors seamless access to both events. This integrated format deepens connections between Southeast Asian artists, galleries, collectors, and the global art community while maintaining S.E.A. Focus’s distinctive curatorial vision spotlighting the region’s finest contemporary art. Curated by John Tung and centred around the theme, Better Worlds, S.E.A Focus brings together artistic practices that explore contemporary life within an increasingly connected world. As technologies advance and networks of exchange continue to expand, individuals and communities enjoy new opportunities to connect, participate, and engage across systems of unprecedented reach and complexity.
John Tung, Curator, S.E.A. Focus said: “Better Worlds begins with a simple but increasingly urgent question: as our lives become more connected, what kind of world do we want to create? Artists have a unique ability to look beyond the systems and structures we take for granted, revealing both their possibilities and their contradictions. Through the perspectives of artists from across Southeast Asia, S.E.A. Focus invites audiences to consider how technology, exchange and human connection are reshaping contemporary life—and to imagine what better, more meaningful ways of living together might look like.”
