ART SG is delighted to announce the appointment of X Zhu-Nowell, Executive Director and Chief Curator of Rockbund Art Museum Shanghai, as Film and Performance Art Curator, as well as a Cultural Partnership with Rockbund Art Museum, to develop programming for the forthcoming ART SG 2026 and across the broader Singapore Art Week.
Further details of this collaboration will be announced in the coming weeks.
ART SG is thrilled to announce the first of its kind cultural sponsorship from a private corporate benefactor, TVS Motor, in support of Indian and South Asian Art. This new initiative places a robust spotlight on contemporary art practices hailing from India and South Asia, through supporting insightful curator-led tours, a significant keynote artist in conversation, networking opportunities for collectors, curators, artists, and galleries, and more, at ART SG 2026.
ART SG is delighted to announce a Cultural Partnership with The Institutum, a non-profit organisation focused on expanding the horizons for Singapore art by developing relationships with the global contemporary art community through international projects. During ART SG 2026, The Institutum will feature its inaugural collaboration with Hampi Art Labs, a new landmark residency program based in UNESCO heritage site Hampi, Karnataka, India. This special collaboration will showcase works centering around ecological research and experiences in residency in this unique environment by artists Robert Zhao and Atul Bhalla.
ART SG is thrilled to welcome collector Punn Chirakiti, Co-Founder and Co-Executive Director, DeCentral, to our Advisory Group, and gallerists Dr. Regina Fiorito, Senior Partner, Galerie Gisela Capitain, and Can Yavuz, Founder and Managing Director, Ames Yavuz, to the Selection Committee, affirming our commitment to strengthen the fair’s global outreach and impact.
Returning for its second year in January 2026, the SAM ART SG Fund aims to foster a culture of philanthropy through supporting Singapore Art Museum’s acquisition of significant international artworks at each edition of ART SG. For the inaugural acquisition, Singapore Art Museum allocated the first tranche of SGD $150,000 towards three works: Kim Yun Shin, Add Two Add One Divide Two Divide One 2023-6, 2023 (Lehmann Maupin); Kapwani Kiwanga, Magma, 2024 (Goodman Gallery), and Lêna Bùi, Breathing no. 2, 2024 (Galerie Urs Meile).
In ART SG 2026, the fair will launch a prize of USD $10,000 to be awarded to an outstanding emerging artist presented in the FUTURES sector. The winner will be selected by a jury of respected curators and institutional directors, and receive significant press and promotional attention.
Jury members are Aaron Cezar, Founding Director, Delfina Foundation; Venus Lau, Director, Museum MACAN; and Khim Ong, Director, Collection, Public Art & Programmes, Singapore Art Museum.
Save the date for the fourth edition of ART SG, presented by Founding and Lead Partner UBS. Southeast Asia’s leading international art fair will return to Singapore from 23 to 25 January 2026 (VIP Preview and Vernissage on 22 January), at Sands Expo and Convention Centre, Marina Bay Sands.
Applications to ART SG 2026 are now open across three sectors: GALLERIES, FOCUS and FUTURES.
ART SG is also pleased to announce additional participation formats to support exhibitors in strengthening their booth curation: GALLERIES: SPOTLIGHT, designed to especially highlight a solo artist presentation within the larger booth context, and FOCUS FIRST, for first time exhibitors to the FOCUS sector.
